Starry Starry Night

Photography for me transforms after the sun has gone down. Whether I am out chasing the Aurora Borealis or standing for hours in a field next to a lonely tree capturing star trails, it is always a challenge and very much at the mercy of the weather. To get that Aurora image, or a Van Goch inspired Star Trail shot always makes it worthwhile. Night is also a great time for experimenting with light, steel wool spinning being a favourite of mine, or light painting landscapes under a starry night sky.
